Home of the 2006, 2008, 2009 boys Outdoor Track State Champions!
SUMMER CROSS COUNTRY CAPTAINS PRACTICES start Monday, June 28. Runs will be Monday-Saturday mornings at 8:30, with M-F at the high school track and Saturday at Millwoods Park across from the skate park. Click here for the summer training program. In addition, there are several area road races over the summer - info is to the left in the Links section.
Eagle Club achievers will recieve a t-shirt at the beginning of the xc season, with elite/high mileage achievers recieving something extra (tbd). To obtain Eagle Club levels, rookies/track sprinters need to run 180 miles (average 20 miles per week), veterans 250 miles (28 miles per week), and elite veterans 360 miles (40 miles per week). The summer training program is designed to give you more miles than what is needed to obtain Eagle Club levels. Mileage can be recorded using a training log; just save it to your computer, add in your actual mileage and email results to captain Per Johnson at whseaglesrunning@sbcglobal.net.
